ONE PARENT'S STORY
"Since 2008, Wei Yee has taught our family. Over the years that’s been 8 instruments for 5 people. Wei Yee doesn’t look for ‘natural talent’ she looks for commitment and dedication.
One word to describe Wei Yee: consistent. Children thrive in a consistent environment. Her studio is immaculately clean, calm, organised and flooded with natural light. One word to describe Wei Yee’s students: prepared.
They stand out and shine at workshops, groups and solo performances.
The whole child is nurtured from Day 1: clean hands, tidy appearance, mindfulness, eye contact, respect for yourself and others and your instrument.
Wei Yee teaches with laser-focused precision. Nothing escapes her.
The quality of her teaching never allows musical deficiencies to develop.
Wei Yee infuses the children with musical self-confidence. Our children
all confidently play in their school orchestras and beyond. They easily adapt
to workshops, groups and different teachers.
Our eldest, now a teenager, is at full-time boarding school, but still has lessons with Wei Yee whenever possible, still loves playing and listening to Suzuki repertoire and is an asset to every orchestra and ensemble she performs in because she is always prepared. She has achieved Distinction in all the ABRSM exams she’s taken: Grade 5 Theory, Grade 7 + 8 Violin, Grade 7 + 8 Piano.
Thanks to Wei Yee our life is filled with music".
